Morning Announcements Go Live

By Shyla Burrell

The newest addition to the school and its technology is the videotaped morning announcements. The link for these announcements can be found daily on the high school web page

Mr. Cangemi, the director of STEM started “The Breakfast Club”, a group of juniors and seniors who are well rounded and interested in the technology needed for putting together daily announcements. The idea behind now recording our morning announcements is to allow the students and teachers to have an interactive experience when listening to the announcements. It also gives the students of the club a chance to learn the inner workings of a broadcast.

Are You Curious About Our Learning Experience?

By Aniyah Kalies Granger

This year, the class of 2020 had the opportunity, to visit Madame Tussauds in New York City, on October 27th not only to have fun but the chance to learn and discover new things about the people who made a huge impact on society today. The experience was fascinating.

On our way there, we had D.J Jamira play us some tunes. Since we requested the music, we were jamming and having fun, and of course snapchatting. We arrived at the museum, around 9:45, but before we entered, we took a group selfie, which was beautiful.

A Sophomore Look at Homecoming

By Omosefe Ikpia

This year’s homecoming started off near the Chestnut Street School. We marched from there back to the school to watch a game between our Girls' soccer team and Friends Academy.

In addition to the game, Homecoming also had many other features like the Stuff the Bus project in which we donate anything helpful to support those affected by the hurricane, there was also many stations of little games, face painting and a bouncy house for the kids, included in the parade was our banner where we think of something creative to go along with our sophomore theme for the year.
