This season the girl's tennis team learned how to serve, rally and pass, use forehand and backhand, follow through on shots, smash and also how to keep score.
The singles and doubles teams varied, no one had a permanent spot.
Our singles players were Laura Eivazi, Alina Czavar, Shanelle Yanqui and Sarah Mojica.
Our doubles players included: Rabiya Khan, Unsha Monaj, Paola Cardenas, Cindy Cardona, Sarah Mojica, Kim Lazo, Krista Baumann, Laura Padilla, Abby Isseon, Lauren Sharma Galarza, Eilyn Maldonado, Vanessa Tribie, and Briana Pierre Louis.

Due to construction at the school, the tennis team wasn't able to practice on the school's tennis courts, instead, they practiced at Hempstead Lake State Park.
The tennis team was coached by Coach Hovanec. He helped the beginners, as well as the experienced players, improve their game.
The last match of the season was in October against Lawrence and everyone played well. The seniors were the backbone of the team and will be missed next season.
