Where Is The Future Of Virtual Reality Headed?

Virtual Reality, what is it? A simple definition would be a Virtual reality created by a computer. However, it is not as simple as it sounds. Virtual reality (VR) is a 3 Dimensional, computer-generated environment. VR is currently being used for entertainment and business needs. For example, some companies use virtual reality to have business meetings and different brainstorming activities. Currently, we have multiple different companies working in this field, such as Meta, Samsung, Vive, Lenovo, and HP to name a few.

Currently, commercial VR headsets are used by making the user move in real life to interact with the surroundings in VR. But how can it get better? 

In an animated show called “Sword Art Online ''(SAO) there is a device called the “Nerve Gear” which uses the player's brain as the controller. The headset sends its own fake signals to the player's 5 senses and disconnects the real senses temporarily. Allowing the player to play without physically harming the player's real body while playing. The Virtual world is almost indistinguishable from the real world while using the NerveGear. However we are not even close to being able to replicate this technology

Currently, there is a company named Diver X which created a new virtual reality headset that allows the user to play while lying down, instead of the conventional standing, and sitting. But their design for a Half Dive system isn't anywhere close to an actual Half Dive system. Diver X uses a three-core feedback system these include the Wind, force, and Vibration cores. However, Diver-X is not the only company working on the future of virtual reality. Elon Musk and Neuralink are also planning on working on the development of “Full Dive” technology. They have already created and tested their newest design on a monkey, which allowed the monkey to play a game using only its brain. And while Elon did say he is working on Full Dive technology just like in SAO, it might be a while before we hear any new announcements.

                   If you are looking for a show to binge-watch at home when you have nothing to do, start watching How To Get Away With Murder. It's a really good and entertaining show. It's an American legal thriller television series that premiered on ABC on September 25, 2014. There are 6 seasons. The main star in this show is Viola Davis. Other stars are Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Liza Well, Matt McGorry, Karla Souza, and more….This is a rated R show so I believe you should watch it for people 15+. This show will keep you wondering, confused, surprised, emotional, and suspenseful. How To Get Away With Murder is about this woman, Annalise Keating, who’s one of the best lawyers because she fights for our broken justice system. Some twists happen in between but it's the best. The show takes place mostly in the courtroom of Pennsylvania.   

      How To Get Away With Murder will make you rethink your life in the real world. Maybe it’ll even make you want to change majors if you are a college student watching this. I know the title might make you think it's crazy except and it is but it's a good crazy. You should watch this show because it's the best, especially if you are into criminal justice or into being a lawyer or if you are a lawyer. Even if you aren't into those things, you will still find this show very interesting. I'm personally in love with this show. I'm on the last season of binge-watching it for a good month now. There’s nothing I really found bad about this show. Unless you are a person that is disgusted by blood, then I recommend you don't watch this show. But when I watch this show and watch Annalise Keating in action in the courtroom, it makes me feel so powerful, like maybe I can do that in the future. The way she leads the show is amazing. 

       Netflix has this show available for you. You can watch this show in your free time. In 2015, How To Get Away With Murder won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. They won many other awards such as the NAACP Image Award (2021), People’s Choice Award (2015), GLAAD Media Award (2015), AFI TV Programs of the Year (2014), and more. How To Get Away With Murder will be a show you won't regret watching. Trust me! In conclusion, if you have nothing to do and are trying to find a new show to binge-watch, start watching How To Get Away With Murder.
